COLLECTIONS OF SPECIMENS
About 300 surgical and autopsy specimens are exhibited in the museum arranged
in respective organ systems and appropriate descriptions of each sample.
- 1. Cardiovascular Collection – Rich collection of cardiovascular autopsy
specimens ranging from developmental anomalies of the heart to rheumatic valvular diseases and infectious conditions.

lung specimens with pathologies such as pneumonia, pulmonary tuberculosis and cancer.

gastrointestinal specimens demonstrating ascariasis infections, intussuseption, and tumors involving segments of the intestine, livers and pancreas.

of male and female genitourinary organs has ovarian tumors, prostatic lesions and renal pathology specimens
- 5. Central Nervous System Collection – Brain specimens
demonstrating pathologies of stroke, hemorrhage, parenchymal and dural tumors.

MUSEUM REGULATIONS
We welcome visitors to the Museum to view our pathology specimen collection.
For your own health and safety, and for the protection of the collection,
visitors are requested to abide by the following regulations:
- Do not touch or move any collection item on display.
- Do not bring large bags into the museum, small bags are
permitted but only if they are hand-carried, this precaution
is in place to protect the collection from accidental damage.
- If asked, allow our staff/security officers to search your bags on leaving the Museum
- Do not smoke anywhere in the Museum and the hospital compound.
- Do not point or gesture towards people or objects within the collection using sticks,
umbrellas, poles, flags or any other object.
- Do not consume food and drink inside the Museum.
- Do not use your phone to make calls in the Museum, and to turn your phone to silent.
